GRANTHAM, Pa. – Gettysburg wrapped up its regular season with a sweep of York (N.Y.) and a 3-1 win over Messiah in a tri-meet at Hitchcock Arena on Saturday. The wins run the Bullets' current winning streak to a season-high eight matches, and the team has gone 20-4 since opening with four straight losses.
The Bullets (20-8) hit .299 for the match and made quick work of York (N.Y.), winning 30-14, 30-18, 30-15. Freshman right side
Molly Barrett (Medfield, Mass./Medfield) had a career-high eight kills with just one error on 16 attempts to hit .438. Classmate
Kristina Mercier (Baltimore, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) had eight kills and was errorless on 15 swings to hit a match-high .533. Sophomore outside hitter
Meghan McConville (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) also had eight kills to tie for the team lead. Freshmen
Kristin Kotewicz (Columbia, Md./River Hill) and
Stephanie Rickabaugh (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) and junior
Katie Potochney (Roselle, N.J./Roselle Catholic) all had nine digs. Kotewicz had eight service aces in 21 attempts to lead the Bullets to 17 as a team.
In the finale against Messiah, the Falcons jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the match, but the Bullets rallied to win the next three and take a 21-30, 30-21, 30-18, 30-25 victory. Freshman setter
Amanda Krampf (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) had 45 assists and 17 digs for her 21st double-double of the season. Junior right side
Lauren Thul (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) also had a double-double with a team-high 17 kills and 14 digs. It was her 17th double-double effort of the season, and she hit a team-high .438 for the match. Senior libero

Hillary Prutzman (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) had six blocks.
The Bullets will be back in action next Saturday in the Centennial Conference semifinal. Second-seeded Gettysburg will take on third-seeded Haverford at a time to be determined. Top-seeded Franklin & Marshall will host the tournament where the Bullets will be looking for their sixth consecutive conference title.
